File Transfer Creation Wizard form

The record name identifies the file transfer record. Part of the record name specifies the Autoline company to which it belongs.

To select a file transfer record name:

Note: This process continues from the first steps for creating a new file transfer record using the wizard.

1. Enter the file transfer record's ID on the Record Name tab.

   Tip: Click the ID ellipsis button to select an existing record's ID on which to base the new record's ID.

   Because the ID holds a maximum of 25 characters including the company code of up to three characters, to use a company-specific record code, limit this entry to a maximum of 22 characters.

   You can directly enter the company number into the ID field, but the module is set to Point-of-sale (SO). If you require the company to be one outside SO, for example a CRM/Marketing company number, click the Set/edit company... button.

2. Enter the Description and click Next.

   The Transfer type tab replaces the Record Name tab.

3. Continue by following the instructions for selecting a transfer type.

Record Name Tab

This tab is not user-selectable. It is one of a series displayed, each in turn, on the File Transfer Creation Wizard. It enables creation or selection of the newly created file transfer record's identity and a description.

ID: Identifies the file transfer record. Because it holds a maximum of 25 characters including the company code of up to three characters, to use a company-specific record code, limit this entry to a maximum of 22 characters.

Tip: Click the ID ellipsis button to select an existing record on which to base the new record's ID.

Description: Purpose of the file transfer, Rentals import for example

PUSH BUTTONS:

Set/edit company...: Enables you to set, amend, or remove a company number from the file transfer record's ID

Help: Displays this help page in a web browser

Cancel: Returns you to the File Transfer Editor

Back: Returns you to the preceding tab in the wizard's sequence

Next: Displays the next tab in the wizard's sequence
